In the most beautiful spot in Styria, in the middle of the East Styrian hills surrounded by beautiful hiking trails, lies the Bio- und Wellnesshotel Retter – the sustainability idyll and the “hotel of the future”. Enjoy organic-certified gourmet dishes and the hospitality of the Retter family.
Enjoy time for S’ICH, listen to the silence and let yourself be touched by the magnificent view. For almost 25 years, guests have been provided with food from the hotel’s own organic fruit orchard, and since 2004 the hotel has been cooking with certified organic food. There is a fine selection for allergy sufferers, vegetarians and vegans. Just like back then, Gerti bakes crispy Retter organic bread (also gluten-free) in the wood-fired oven in front of the restaurant. Enjoy refreshing drinks from orchards such as apple and Hirschbirn, as well as Retter-BIO-Bräu and fine organic wines from the Vulkanland wine-growing region. The restaurant has been awarded the Green Toque for healthy, wholesome and regional cuisine for more than 22 years and has been named “Bierwirt of the Year” and “GenussWirt”.
In the 1200 m² “Bewusst Sein” wellness realm, a water realm with heated outdoor pool, indoor whirlpool and natural swimming pond awaits you. Soothing massages, treatments with organic natural cosmetics from DR. JOSEPH and MARÍAS, round off the offer. Enjoy a generous breakfast buffet with warm cereal dishes, juice press and smoothie corner on the panoramic terrace. In the afternoon, all-day enjoyment from the gourmet buffet and in the evening regional, certified organic toque-awarded dishes in the cozy restaurant. Followed by a fine wine at the Hirschbirn bar and plenty of time away from everyday life.
